Talk by Revolutionary War Historian

On November 16, 2025, more than 70 persons gathered at the City Island Nautical Museum for a talk by Revolutionary War historian Stephen Paul DeVillo.

Discussing his new book, Westchester County in the American Revolution: Neutral Ground, DeVillo also offered connections to the City Island experience during the Revolutionary War.

The event this year precedes the 250th anniversary celebration (in 2026) of the Battle of Pell's Point. The Museum is planning additional talks for the winter months.

Joining author DeVillo for a photo at the end of his talk were members of the Board of the City Island Historical Society: (left to right) Trustees Elinor King, Greg Italiano, Jimmy Italiano, Board President Michael Clancy, author Stephen Paul DeVillo, Board Secretary Barbara Dolensek, and Trustee Russell Schaller.
