Museum Welcomes Pace University Students
On Monday, March 23, the Museum welcomed students from Pace University who are part of a Mellon Foundation grant project, “Islands, Archipelagos, and Cultural Ecologies,” connecting communities for a more sustainable future. The project will advance environmental justice and the environmental humanities at Pace, building on the university’s strengths in experiential learning and place-based education.
nnn Greeted by Museum President Mike Clancy, along with Museum Staff and Board, the students explored our Permanent Collection Galleries, including the Community and Nautical Rooms which have been updated during the winter months, and previewed the Museum’s newest exhibit on America’s Cup winners, many of which were built on City Island.
Following the visit, they took a walking tour of City Island, led by the Museum’s Board of Trustee member Barbara Dolensek.
