A look back at the September 9, 2025, visit to the Museum by the Senior Leadership Team for the American Legion in New York State, here for the Bronx County Visitation.
The delegation will visit all 62 counties in New York during their time in office. (The Leonard H. Hawkins Post 152 hosted as they are the largest Legion in the Bronx.)
The group included: John Miga, NY State Legion Commander, and his wife, Audrey; Maureen Morgan, State Auxiliary President; Joe Guidice, State Sons of the American Legion Commander, Mike Ramirez, District 1 (Bronx / Manhattan) Commander; City Islander Ricardo Garcia, Bronx County Commander; Pete Del-Debbio, Bronx Adjutant; City Islander Mike Clancy, Post 156 Commander; City Islander Peter Booth, SAL Vice President, and Ike Morgan, State photographer.

Mike Clancy, who also serves as the President of the Museum’s Board, offered the group a brief history of City Island, before they toured each of the Museum’s permanent collection galleries and special exhibits. A Legion-Museum connection: Peter Booth donated a copy of his grandfather’s diploma to our collection.
