| Student registers, class pictures, autograph books, report cards, the old school bell, and other such memorabilia fill this room and tell the story of City Island schools, from the first school house built in 1839 to P. S. 175 completed in 1975. A photograph album contains a growing number of school pictures over the years that attract visitors and alumni in search of old friends, family members, and classmates. Pictures and histories of the different schools are shown on the walls, along with graduation photographs over the past century. St. Mary’s Star of the Sea School is also represented here, as are St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Temple Beth El, Trinity United Methodist Church, and Grace Episcopal Church. |
